MPPs visit Perth County for third Ag -101 The Perth County Federation of Agriculture along with John Wilkinson, MPP Perth Middlesex, were hosts to MPPs, staff and families on Friday, August 18 for the third Ag -101. Among the MPPs were five cabinet ministers: Hon. Donna Cansfield, Minister of Transportation; Hon. Jim Watson, Minister of Health Promotion; Hon. David Ramsey, Minister of Natural Resources; Hon. George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long Term Care; Hon. Jim Bradley, Minister of Tourism and Recreation. Other MPPs in attendance were Kathleen Wynne, Don Valley West; Maria VanBommel, Lambton-Kent- Middlesex; Liz Sandals, Guelph - Wellington; Carol Mitchell, Huron - Bruce; Khalil Ramal, London- Fanshawe; Lou Rinaldi, Northumberland; Kevin Flynn, Oakville. Staff from the Premier's office as well as staff from other ministries also enjoyed the day. The day began with a brunch with Perth County produce supplied by the various commodity groups. To apply you are asked to send your name, address, phone number and the College/University you will be attending, along with a short report (no longer than 400 words) describing how your choice of continuing education will benefit the agriculture industry and/or how you will participate in the agricultural sector upon graduation.
