f 9 Members in Huron County by the HCFA.
Important notice for OFA members
The OFA has undertaken a
structure review and your input is
needed!
Agriculture is changing and and
the OFA is looking at its own need to
change with the times. Acting on a
resolution from the 2005 Convention,
OFA has struck a working group to
review the OFA structure and
recommend changes needed. By
structure we mean who represents our
farm members, how they are selected,
how policy is developed and how
decisions are made. It is a big topic.
OFA Members (members only
please) are invited to attend the
Resolution presented
at OFA board meeting
The following resolution from the
Huron Federation of Agriculture was
presented at the Ontario Federation
of Agriculture Board meeting on
June 21, 2006.
"Whereas Ontario and Canadian
farmers are going through a difficult
financial crisis, with little apparent
support coming from the government
from the government bureaucrats;
and
Whereas it appears some Federal and
Provincial bureaucrats are working
on their own personal goals and not
working for the prosperity and future
growth of Canadian agriculture;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
that Ontario Federation of
Agriculture (OFA) demand Federal
and Provincial bureaucrats not
working for the benefit of agriculture
be removed from their positions and
be replaced by persons working for
the success of Canadian and Ontario
agriculture"0
