Annuals, still in bloom in mid- October, spell out his name at the front of his property and extend back through his gardens. His quaint, white home with green shutters is privately concealed behind well groomed trees and bushes. Reesor along with the other winners were invited to an awards banquet in August and presented with gifts. "A lot of people have a century old farm and make everything new but Jeremy wanted to (preserve) it the way it was." The home has buildings that were used when the house was first constructed, such as a smokehouse and a shed for drying the meats. The house and barns still have the original stone. Stoskopf, who entered the competition after learning about it from a letter in the mail, won a large wall clock at the awards presentation. "He put a lot of work into it and the judges were very impressed," Rachel said. John and Corrie Boer were surprised at the reaction over their home in Atwood for the competition.
