Bruce volunteers receive awards
Kenneth Bridge, a veterinarian from the Kincardine area,
(right) accepts the Tommy Cooper Award from Dan
Ahlstrand of CFOS Radio in Owen Sound. Bridge was
honoured, among other things, for initiating the Ontario
Premium Added Calf (OPAC) program, forerunner of pre -
vaccinated and pre -conditioned calf sales.
Elaine Lang receives the Award of Merit from Wietse
Posthumus, Bruce County Federation of Agriculture vice-
president. Lang has been a tireless worker with the Roots
of Bruce. In March she received the volunteer of the year
award from Ontario Agri -Food Education as volunteer of
the year.
