Paul Mistele visits Huron farms
On Tuesday, August 12 Paul
Mistele, OFA Executive attended a
"kitchen type" meeting at the farm of
Will Stafford in North Huron with
about a dozen area OFA members in
attendance. BSE, from many different
angles, was the main topic of
discussion, along with the
Agriculture Policy Framework, and
information from the Ontario
Agriculture Commodity Council
urging all farmers to work together to
overcome problems.
An afternoon meeting took place
with Paul at the Huron Federation of
Agriculture office in Vanastra with 18
in attendance. Topics discussed were
BSE, farm liabilities, eg. (combines
using escort vehicle, driving with
head off when on road), education (or
lack of local schools) regarding
infrastructure in rural communities
