find a crop that is suitable for the
environment," she says... "What we
have is based on science, not
folklore."
The Healing Arc's oil of oregano
contains no less than 62.5 per cent
carvacrol in extra virgin olive oil.
The reason oregano oil is diluted is
because if used
' pure, it would
bum the skin.
In five
years, Wynnyk
would like to
see some
farmers with a
few acres of
oregano in
their fields.
But first, she
says, they have
to introd-uce it
tothe farming
comm -unity and ex -plain the effect it
could have on the economy.
"What would be better" Wyynk
asks, "buying tea tree oil from
Australia or supporting Canadian
farmers by buying oregano oil, made
from oregano that they could grow?"
Wynnyk says she and Manolis
owe a lot of thanks to Wingham area
farmer Dave Golley.
"He lets us borrow his tractors and
use his equipment. He's our support
from Wingh2m," Wynnyk explains.
Wynnyk is quick to explain that
