and be able to compare areas of
this woodlot that were harvested
last winter, to other areas that are
prepared but not yet cut.
A Tech -Trail highlighting low
impact forest logging equipment
is also located in the managed
woodlot. Operators will be
demonstrating techniques using
the various machines to show
how you can use the equipment
in your woodlot.
Have you ever wondered how
a septic system works, or why
properly maintained agricultural
ditches are so important to the
environment? Why is it important
to properly install well casings to
protect our drinking water? The
demonstration area, located
beside the managed woodlot, will
show you how these structures
should work and be maintained.
Representatives will be on hand
to answer questions and explain
how to apply these techniques on
your property. Visitors can also
view alternate septic treatment
techniques on the site.0
