'Harvest the
Wind'
The Ontario Sustainable Energy
Association is launching its latest
workshop series, Harvest the Wind,
in Goderich, Ontario on April 1.
Harvest the Wind is geared towards
those who are interested in taking
power into their own hands and
creating a secure, clean energy future
in Ontario. The workshop is focused
on providing farmers and rural
communities with the tools and
information that they need to take
advantage of opportunities in
Ontario's new energy market and get
involved in renewable energy.
The workshop will introduce
participants to topics including:
• The economics of wind power
• Designing your own off -grid or
grid -connected power system
• Developing your own resource
• Wind power co-operatives and
• What to do if approached by a
wind developer
"Individuals and communities
across Ontario are recognizing the
opportunities that now exist to
participate in the development and
generation of green power," says
Deborah Doncaster, Executive
Director of OSEA. "Over the past
two years OSEA has been holding
sustainable energy workshops in
local communities across the
province and has helped to catalyze a
number of projects. Through Harvest
the wind we hope to help farmers
reap a second harvest of clean power
from their fields."
The workshops are taking place in
Goderich, Ontario on April 1 at the
Goderich and District Memorial
Community Centre - 12:00 p.m. to
