Farm fuel tanks must be placed properly
In the last year. or ever since
Walkerton all farming operations are
being more scrutinized and evaluated
to protect the water supply. Bill 81,
The Nutrient Management Act 2002
has been passed and Phase 2 of
hearings of the proposed regulations
is underway.
Ontario farmers will also face
problems if their on-farm fuel tanks
are not in the right place or in poor
condition. After some extensive
research I am assured the following
farm fuel tank installation guidelines
will assure uninterrupted fuel supply
to your farm if followed and will
protect your water supply.
