All kinds of local entertainment will be
showcased at the match.
With a stop at the three lifestyles
tents visitors can hear about the
ghosts in Wellington County.

ticket to win a quilt.
"We have something for all ages,"
family lifestyles co-chair Sandra
Howatt said.
In one tent "The Quilts: Roots and
Wings" will feature the work of area
quilters from the county quilt
competition. The winning quilts will
be among 14 different quilts. Visitors
will see wearable quilted clothing and
also get the opportunity to purchase a
raffle ticket for two quilts.
"The quilt tent is beautiful as
ever," Howatt said.
Shoppers must be sure to make a
stop at the craft tent, which
Howatt compared to a craft
show, with about 50 local artists and
crafters.
In the Homespun Country Theatre
a different presentation will be made
every 45 minutes, from 10:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. Topics of presentation
include fitness, fashion, cooking,
health, decorating and antiques.
Speakers will present a wide range of
topics such as reflexology, angels and
natural flower remedies.
"We hope people who come to the
tent and sit down will go away
having learned something," Howatt
said.
Border collies are scheduled to
round up sheep and Scottish athletes
will demonstrate events held at The
Highland Games, an annual Fergus
weekend celebration, twice a day
during the five-day match.
Special events and parades chair
HJ Smith has a line-up he hopes will
appeal to young and old.
"There's a wide variety of things,
:here is going to be something that
interests most people there," he
remarked.
Local politicians and dignitaries,
members of the Ontario legislature
and Ontario Premier Mike Harris as
well as members of the Federal
parliament will be on hand for the
opening day parade of the Elora
match.
On the Saturday, the final day of
the match, pony rides will be offered
for only two dollars.
