The entertainment committee will
run four stages; the main stage, the
county stage, the antique stage and
the campground stage.
Comedian Charlie Farquhason will
be seen in ads to promote the match
and will be yukking it up on Tuesday,
the opening day.
A "rising stars" show will feature
four young, as Beatie said, "amazing
talents", of the ages of I I and 12 who
each either are singers, fiddlers, or
pianists. Scott Woods, a champion
fiddler, will entertain crowds on the
first two days of the match.
Wellington County entertainers
include a Robbie Burns, the Scottish
poet. impersonator and a magician.
The sounds of pipe bands ranging
to square dancing will provide
musical entertainment. The strong
influence of Scottish and Celtic
traditions in Wellington County will
be heard as many performers

Bonnie Callen hopes the three tents
housing the displays will give visitors
a "real flavour of Wellington
County".
The mural' is based on an old
photograph and painted by
Rockwood resident Susan Johnson.
The mural will not be the only big
crowd draw. So too will a metal
sculpture of a horse, which, Callen
explains, shows the importance of
plowing' and agriculture in
Wellington.
One of the three tents will place an
emphasis on local government and
local government services. The
county museum will also have a
display in this tent.
A second tent will stage
performers from Wellington County,
such as dancers and adult and
children's choirs. And the third tent
will be feature organizations in the
county such as tourism groups and
the health unit.
"This is a wonderful opportunity
to find out about the coumy hosting
this year," Callen remarked.
Robinson made sure to emphasize
the crowd favourite lifestyles tents.
