Cream butter and sugar until
fluffy. Work in flour, vanilla and salt.
Roll out dough to fit two ungreased
15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll
pans or three, 13 x9x2 inch pans.
Sprinkle with almonds and sugar.
Cut unbaked dough in 2 1/2 x 1 1/2
inch bars. Bake in moderate oven
(350°F) about 15 minutes.
Immediately recut bars along same
lines. Cool in pans on racks.0
