Conservation Funding Sources Seminar
Thursday, December 6 — 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Mitchell Town Hall
This evening seminar is being planned to inform rural landowners on
sources of funding available for conservation measures. Many programs
exist and others are about to commence which offer financial and
technical support to farmers to implement Best Management Practices.
Ducks Unlimited Canada, through its Soil and Water Improvement
Planned Enhancement Program (SWIPE) has initiated a series of seminars
across the province to inform rural landowners of local conservation
programs. The Perth County Federation of Agriculture is co-operating to
bring this seminar to the Perth Region. Other conservation agencies such
as the local Conservation Authorities and the Perth Stewardship Council
have been invited to present available conservation programs as well.
