Sandra Forster, it seems, is always ready for an
adventure. Today the Kincardine woman is
starting out on a new career as an agricultural
journalist at a time in life when being a student is
not generally a preferred occupation. Back in the
1980s she and
her husband
Donald and their
two children
undertook a more
arduous adven-
ture, trying to
rehabilitate an
abandoned farm
in Rainy River.
District. She tells
the story of that
adventure.

Though he operates huge pork operations in Saskatchewan,
the thing that impressed Florian Possberg on his visit to
Ontario was the viable small towns throughout the farming
community. Used to the heart -wrenching sight of prairie towns
dying. he urged Ontario farmers not to lose the good thing
they have going here. Page 18
