School Editors: Lisa Finch and Kerri Szusz CHEERLEADERS by Christy Scott On Thursday, May 25, the Clinton Huron Secondary Schools cheerleaders came to Hullett. They presented many things such, as stunts, cheers and they showed us many of their moves. We would all like to thank them for coming. KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION by Cheri Kryzanowski On Wednesday, June 7, Kinder­ garten Orientation will be held at the school starting at 1 p.m. There will be songs, games, stories, snacks and the 25 students will meet the pets in the room. CLASS TRIPS by Cheri Kryzanowski As a tradition at Hullett, most classes go on a field trip near the end of the school year. This year grades Kindergarten to 3 went to the Circus, grade 4 went to the bush, grade 5 is deciding where to go, grade 6 went to Goderich, grade 7 is going to Canada’s Wonderland in Toronto, and grade 8 went to Toronto for two days. Field trips are a great way to end the year. STORYTELLING by Erin Horbanuik On Friday, May 26 Huron Cen­ tennial, Blyth, Seaforth, Vanastra, Clinton and Hullett kids from grades 3 and 4 had a story-telling day. In the morning Marian Douc­ ette, who is a well known story-tell­ er, told stories in the tent. After that they went into groups all over the school and the kids told their stories. Everybody met new friends. TRIP TO THE BUSH by Christy Scott On Wednesday, May 17 the grade fours went on a trip to the bush. They had a picnic lunch, and in the afternoon they had three sessions. The first session was an organic gardening and composting group. The second session was a walk in the bush for a wild flower identification hike. The third ses­ sion was when they adopted a tree. Everyone enjoyed the trip and learned a great deal. VICTORIA DAY by Erin Horbanuik On Monday, May 22 there was a holiday. It was Victoria Day. All schools were closed this day. ENRICHMENT PROGRAM by Cheri Kryzanowski On May 10, 11, and 12 four student^ from Hullett - Jennifer Szusz, Karla Stacey, Lindsay An­ derson and Anthony Wilkinson took part in an enrichment pro­ gram. Most of the time was spent at Colborne School doing creative work. One afternoon, the students went to Vanastra Recreation Centre to go scuba diving. It was a very fun and educational experience. TRACK AND FIELD The track and field meet for Hullett Central School was held on Thursday, May 18. There were a number of different events that the majority of students participated in according to their ages. Here are the results: Senior, Tony Vanderlei, Lisa McCormick; Intermediate, Tim Lyons, Erin Jamieson; Junior, Steven Leon- heardt, Lindsay Anderson; Midget, Adam Cook, Jennifer Szusz; Pee Wee, Ben Thompson, Amanda Thompson; Primary, Joel Arthur. WOAA minor softball returns After a number of years absences, W.O.A.A. Minor Softball returns to Blyth with the emergence of a Midget Boys Team. It is shaping up to be a funfilled, interesting year for the Midget Boys from the Blyth and Londesboro areas. Home games are played on Sunday nights, so hopefully we will get some fans out to support and cheer on the local boys.
