Brussels Curlers get trophies at banquet The Brussels Curling Club held its annual Banquet and Dance at the Brussels Legion on Saturday. President, Doug Sholdice, open­ ed the meeting by thanking the Legion Ladies for serving a deli­ cious roast beef dinner. Past Presi­ dent, Gord Mitchell, introduced the head table. The new executive for 1989-90 was announced. The winner of the Jack Bryans Trophy was the team of Michael Alexander, Neil Pipe, Rich Veitch, and Darrin Bauer with a total of 49.75 points. President of the Ladies Curling Club, Fran Bremner, presented the Walter Scott Memorial Trophy to the team of Nora Stephenson, Jean Bewley, Evelyn Blake and Brenda Cucksey with a total of 56 points. Orval Bauer and Ron Clarkson presented the prizes to the Mixed Curling Winners. Nov.-Dec. A wards given to Brussels hockey teams The Brussels and District Minor Hockey and Ringette held its Annual Banquet and Awards Night at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre last Sunday evening.
