Blyth continued their strong play into the second period and at the four minute mark, Michael Haggitt tipped the puck over the line on a goal-mouth scramble with linemate Darryl Bromley picking up the assist. In the third period Mark “Sparky” Wilson scored on a blast which seemed to handcuff the shell-shocked Teeswater goalie. The defensive parings of Jeff Ferguson, Corey Shannon and Ronnie Abel-Rinn and team captain Greg Blok kept Teeswater’s two top scorers silent. Special mention to Dan Chamney who played a strong game.
