Changes 'Bands
After 57 Years
WROXETER, alvlunro's ,General
Store has been sold after being in
that family for l7 years, Alexander
Munro, who came to 'Canada as a
child f Scotland; first began his
business career In. Wroxeter when
he went. Into partnership with
William Rutherford in a hardware
business over 70 years ago, He sold
his partnership out to Mr. Ruther.
ford and took up a general store
with Mr. French about 1904 but
soon bought the latter out and con-
tinued in this business until the
time of his death in 1912,
Dan McTavish, now a general
Storekeeper in Brussels, became
manager until Allan Munro, with'
the aid of his, mother, took over in
1923. In 1926 he moved to the pre-
sent location, and continued in the
business until couple of days prior
to his death on November 1st,
this year, Mrs. Allan Munro continued at
the store until it was purchased by
William Edgar, of Fordwick, who
took possession December 1st, Mr.
Edgar, a Married man, with one
teenage son, 'Cameron, Is not new to
this field •having had o similar
business in. Fordwich ft few years
ago. He has more recently been in
the poultry business until fire de-
stroyed his building this fall the
day before his new shipment of
Chicks Were to arrive. Mr. Edgar
plans to , remain in Ifordwich and
Commute the seven miles to Wrox-
°ter until after the end of the pre-
sent.school term, We 'wish him ev-
ery success in this business.

P.Y.P.S. DISCUSSES
LEADERSHIP COURSE
The Presbyterian Young People's
Society of St. Andrew's Church met
in the Sunday School room, when
a discussion was held on &leader-
ship course, for the benefit of the
young people, On December 10
some of the members will go to
Teeswater where a course is being
conducted. They will leave at 10.30
a.m. and will have a chicken sup-
per after the sessions.
Since the world is made up of
many religious denominations the
P.Y.P.S, decided to hold a discus-
sion and find out all they could
about the other denominations,
Betty Ann Lapp spoke for the Ro-
man 'Catholics, Lorne Woods for
the Jews and Charles Congram
explained that the Jehovah's Wit-
nesses started in 1872, and gave an
account of their activities and
growth to •the present time. The
Mormons were discussed by Dick
Scott. The closing prayer was giv-
en by Mary Joan Lapp.
Exchange Gifts
At Mission Band -
BLTJEVALE - The Mission Band
of Knox Presbyterian Church met
on Sunday during the service with
14 members present. The offering
was taken by Billy Kirton.
Mrs. MeKercher read the Christ-
mas story, The children exchanged
gifts and were then each treated
to a chocolate bar, the gift of the

She was a daughter of the late
Itobert, Sturdy and Susanna Hum-

Andrew's Presbyterian Church,
Surviving are sisters Verna (Mrs.
Lewis Cook, of .Belgrave, and Levet,-
of Wingham, and brothers, Fred,

est daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Swanson, was married in St. Paul's
Anglican Church on Tuesday, Doe-
ember 5, at one o'clock, to Mr.
Andy Coburn (Winters), son of Mr.
John Coburn, of Windsor. Rev. C.
F. Johnson 'officiated,
Mrs. Cordon Cerson, sister of the
bride, and Jim Bain, cousin of the
