The December meeting of the
Wingham. and District Ministerial
Association was held in the Wing-
ham United Church on Monday.
Rev, H. Donaldson, Seaforth, open-
ed the meeting with a Scripture
reading anal prayer. The hymn,
"0 Master Let Me Walk with
Thee", was sung by the members.
Mr. Donaldson , presided 'for the
business session and on behalf of
the association expressed best wish_
es .to Rev. Leslie Elder, Seaforth,
who leaves later this month for Al-
morale. Rev, Gordon Kaiser, of
Luelcnow, was elected to take Mr.
Elder's place as vice-president. Af.
ter the business session the hymn,
• "Blest Be the Tie that Binds" was

showed his cofored slides on his re-
cent trip to Western Canada, He
was thanked by Rev, E. C. Attwell,
Gorrie. The meeting closed with

W.' Dennis McGlynn
Dies After Fall
Rev, G. Freker officiated at Sae-
red Heart Church, Wingham on
Monday morning for the funeral
service of Wilfred Dennis McGlynn,
25, of Kitchener. Interment was
in the Wingham, cemetery.
Mr. McGlynn died in St. Mich-
ael's Hospital, Toronto, on Thurs-
day after suffering from a fall.
He was born in. Wingham, a son
of Gus McGlynn and Annie Frei-
burger. He attended Glenanan
school and had been employed by
Seagram's Distillery.
Prayers were said Saturday and
Sunday at 9 p.m. at the S. J. Walk-
er funeral home, Wingham.
Mr. McGlynn is survived by his
parents, sisters, Rose (Mrs. Orville
Gatecliff) of Hamilton, Eleanor
(Mrs. Lorne Curran), Kitchener,
and Judy, R.R. 2, Wingham; bro-
thers, Patrick of Flame-to/II- Robert
and D'Arcy of Kitchener; Tom of
Bluevale and Jerry, Wingham.
Two sisters, Marie and Margaret,
died in infancy.
Father Dies in
Saugeen Hospital
A resident of Southampton for
the past -sixty years, George Chris-
topher (Chris) Hearn, died in the
Saugeen Memorial Hospital on Sat-
urday afternoon. The late Mr.
Hearn had been ill for some time,
He was a marine engineer and
later was employed with the water_
worics division of the Southampton
Public Utilities Commission. He
was a. member of St. Andrew's
Presbyteran Church and was mar-
ried to the former Catherine Bel-.
more on January 22nd, 1901.
He is survived by his wife, three
daughters (Doris), Mrs. (nester
Mollet of Arran Township, (Bessie)
Mrs. John Bell of Orillhe (Kath-
leen), Mrs, Harry Fryfogle, Wing
tram; twp brothers, Archie, South-
ampton and James- of Grand Forks,
South Dakota, and one sister (Mar.
garet) Mrs. Jainee Stevenson of
Southampton.
The funeral service was conduct-
ed by Rev. Dr. Georg.e. Aitken of
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
at the taglesOn funeral home, in
Southampton, "on Monday after-
noon. Pallbearers were Jack Sin-
clair, Ian McLeod, Jack Gilmour,
Hartley Doran, Edward Hearn and
Archie Hearn Jr. Interment was
in Southampton cemetery.

ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Hu-
ron Coundy Federation of Agricul-
ture was held in the Londesboro
Community Hall on Wednesday.
Elmer Ireland, who was second
vice president last year, was elect-
ed president. Normally, Gordon
Grieg of Wroxeter would have
served as president, but he has ac-
cepted a position which will take
him out of the county.
Named to support Mr, Ireland,
as vice presidents, were Alex 'Mc-
Gregor of Kippen and Charles
Thomas of Brussels. Mrs. Alex. Mc-
Gregor is lady director.
Preceding the meeting a compli-
mentary dinner was served to
about 300 township and lady direc-
tors, The guest speaker for the
afternoon was Donald C. McDonald,
leader of the Ontario New Demo-
cratic Party, He was introduced by
Winston Shapton of Exeter, past
president ofethe County Federation
and thanked by the new president,
Elmer Ireland.
Elston Cardiff of Brussels, M.P.
for Huron, spoke briefly, noting
the problem of getting more rev-
enue for the farmer. He urged the
Federation to continue its good
work, "for the country needs you,
and the farmers need you."
The Federation endorsed a, Itn,
ron County Council resolution that
