COIN NOTES
By Jack G. Dietrich,
Box 28, Clinton
T have found that there ate quite
it number of interested collectors
in 'this area, so a hew of us thought
that it would be beneficial to all
fellow-collectors to have an organ-
ized club.
A meeting for this purpose is be-
ing held Thursday, Nov. 30, in the
cotnicil chambers of the Clinton
town hall at 8 p.m. If you have
only started collecting, rloti't hes-
itate to come out, 'after all' its the
.novice collector who will learn the
most from a coin club.
Here's a novel Idea that may ap-
peal to you. Take the seed from an
unpitted date and plant It about
one inch 'deep well-aerated,
open soil. After seine time, you Will
have a young "palm tree" in the
house, Be patient, though, Itorticul.
Wrists with the Ontario Depart-
nient of Agriculture warn, that it
takes .about two- years before the
tree becomes attractive. It's a
dwarf 'variety and is Most suitable
as a Mum plant Km), it well
watered,
