The 4-H Baste-n-Stitch club met
on Friday evening at the home of
Mrs. Carl McClenaghan and ten
girls repeated the pledge and answ-
ered the roll call, "A pattern alter-
ation and how to make it," The
girls worked on their project, and
will meet on Friday at the home of
Mrs. Albert Coultes.
The children of this district
gathered $11.00 for UNICEF at
Hallowe'en.
Mrs. Irene Patterson, of Toronto,
spent the week-end here, and visit-
ed with her mother, Mrs. Taylor,
a patient in Wingham Hospital.

MRS. CONDI SPOKE
AT THANKOFFERING
The fall Thankoffering meeting
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Mis-
sion Band Was held in the Sunday
School room ion Monday of last
week with parents and friends
present.
Mrs. Scott 'Reid opened the meet-
ing with prayer. The hymn "Come
Let Us All Unite •and Sing" was
sung and the Mission Band prayer
was recited by the entire group,
Mrs. Reid welcomed the mothers
and friends Who were present and
the children sang a "welcome song"
to all present.
A verse by six children, Bobby i
McGee, John Leitch, Kenneth Alt- I
cheson, Ruth Ann Currie, Jane
English and Joanne Suteliff with
the letters CHRIST, was given by
each of the children. A song was
sung by all the junior members of
the Mission Band. The offering was
received, by Marlene Jamieson and
Billie Hilbert, while Jackie Dayell
gave the offertory prayer. A song
by the senior children was sung,
Karin Sutcliff and Doug Leitch
then gathered the stamps the child-
ren are saving to help buy Biblea
for the Missions.
