Buried Saturday
Rev. G. J. Freker, of Wingham,
officiated on Saturday morning at
Sacred Heart R. C. Church, Tees-
water, for the funeral of Michael J,
Schiestel, Burial was in Teeswater
R. C. Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Willie,
George, William, Joseph, Douglas
and Ernest Schiestel.
Mr. Schistel was born in Culross
Township, April 8, 1867; and was a
resident of that township until 1945,
when he moved to Turnberry. He
was a retired fernier and a member
of the Roman Catholic faith. He
had been in hospital for three
weeks.
He is survived by four sons,
Alec, Michael and Frank, of Tees-
water, and Walter, of Turnberry,
and two daughters, Mary (Mrs,
Percy Willie), of Wingham, and
Angeline (Mrs. Wilfred Volman),
of Turnberry. There' are 18 grand-
children, 16 great grandchildren, a
brother, John, of Culross, and two
sisters, Mrs. Joseph Detzler and
Mrs. Mat Willie, of Culross.
His wife, the former Mary Ann
Schumacher, predeceased him. in
1953.

room of St. Paul's Anglican Church
on Sunday evening with about 25
