Nearly all the Cubs attended
camp last week-end at Inverhuron

ming and learning new songs and
crafts. This earnp-out was truly the
highlight of the whole year's Cub-

Carrie Martyn, Inverhuron, last

Owing to rainy weather the,
wiener roast and campfire program
was held indoors on Saturday night,
District Commissioner Archie Cow-
anlock and Scouter John Preston,
of Walkerton, dressed in their In-
diancostumes, assisted with this
program.
All the lasys, along with their
leaders, attended church service, in
uniform, on Sunday morning. After
a hearty dinner, we broke camp and
returned home.
On Tuesday evening, August 22,
the Belgrave Wolf 'Cubs met. The
boys enjoyed a game of ball and
then Rickey Orr received his Sec-
..ond Star. Good work, Rickey! We
are sorry that Rickey is leaving
our Pack, but hope that he will
continue to enjoy Cubbing in his
new home in Wiarton.

at Inverhuron, where the leaders
were Lorne Campbell and John Nix-
on, of Belgrave. On account of the
late crops and rainy harvest weath-
er not Very many boys in this dis-
trict were able to go to camp.

of Walkerton, visited on Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Verner.

visited for a few days last week

Miss Maxine Jackltn, of George-
town, spent the week-end with her
sister, Mrs. Archie Pardon. Mr.
Chas, Falconer, John and' Mary, of
Glands,visited at the Purdon home
on Sunday. .
Mr. and Mrs. James McIlwrath
returned home recently, after
spending over three months with
relatives in the British Isles and
touring through that land.
Miss Beverly Gaunt and Miss
Norma Forster, of London, spent
the week-end at their respective
homes in West Wawanosh.
Mr, James Martin and Mr. R. H.
Thompson attended the Wight fam-
ily picnic, held on Saturday at Port
Franks, Over 60 were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gillespie and
family, of Sarnia, spent the week-
end with Gillespie and Farrier rela-
tives here and attended the Gilles-
pie family gathering on Sunday at
Teeswater Park,
Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Moore visit-
ed on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs,
Kenneth Dickson, of 13elmore.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Simmons
and Nancy, of Wasaga Beach, spent
the week-end with her parents, Mr,

The Davidson well-drillers finish-
ed the well behind the memorial
hall here at 181 feet and since then
have drilled a well for James E.
Currie and for Norman Welwood at
the motel grounds and are now
drilling at Robert Arbuckle's home.
Mr. Percy Taylor from Scots-
znard, Sask., has been in this dis-
trict for the past two weeks, and
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson, Mrs.
Wm. Dawson and Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Tiffin and Mr,' Taylor visit-
ed last week with Mr. and Mrs.
Sidney Payne at Belle Ewart. This
week-end Mr. Taylor, Mrs. Dawson

week after spending a few weeks
