becue supper at the anniversary
meeting of the Waterloo Cattle
Breeders' Association.

men's Institute were at Holyrood
on Monday evening and attended
the Institute meeting there, where
Mrs, Harvey Houston gave a report
of her trip to Vancouver to attend
the National Convention of Wo-
men's Institutes; held in the Uni-
versity, at Vancouver, from June
19th to 24th.

ing at the home of Mrs. Roy Patti-
son on Thursday at 2.30 when the
Mission Band entertains and Miss
Agatha Coultes will be the special

Mr. Gordon Naylor, Kay and Bill
were in London on Sunday to Up

husband much improved.

the summer Herne Helpers meeting
last Wednesday at the home of
Mrs, •Ewart McPherson with 20
ladies present and the president;
Mrs. Johnston Conn, presiding.
The program was prepared by
Mrs. George Fisher and Mrs. Mc-
Pherson. The call to worship was
Psalm 19, with Mrs. Andrew Gaunt
in charge of the Scripture and
Meditation period, speaking on the
sisters, Mary and Martha. Mrs.
James McInnis led in the Glad
Tidings prayer.
Mrs. Russell. Ross was secretary
for the occasion. The roll call was
answered by naming sister's in the
Bible. Mrs. Fisher gave a very in-
teresting talk on the topic, "Fam-
ilies and Homes". Mrs, Emerson
led in the offertory prayer, A spec-
ial offering was taken for the Pres-
byterial Expense Fund. The next
meeting will be in charge of the
Mission Band.
Mrs. Conn closed with prayer and
all enjoyed the social time in the
lunch period,

The Senior Institutes, Club Lea-
ders, Junior Farmers and 4-H
Clubs each addressed the home
economist, Miss Black, and togeth-
er presented her with a projector
and funds for a screen. Miss Black,
who has served in Bruce for three
years, now takes a similar position
in Perth. Farrier's orchestra pro-
vided the music for dancing.
Mrs, James McIntyre, of Ridge-
town, brought her father, Mr. Ben
MeClenaghan home this week-end
and their children, who had been
here and in Wingham, returned
home to Ridgetown.
Mr. and Mrs, Win. Parker and
family, of Exeter, visited on Sun-
day at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Ben MeClenaghan and John Parker,
who had been visiting here for two
weeks, returned home.
