Mrs. John C. Mitchell, of Wing-
ham, died on Friday, July 21st, in
the Wingham General Hospital, fol-
lowing a long illness.
Tile former Susan Moles Bell,
daughter. of the late John Bell and
Barbara -Cochrane, was born in
Quebec City 81 years ago. She came
with her parents to iGlenannan in
1880, She attended school in How-
Mk and the Wingham Business
College.
' In December, 1912, she married
Jelin Mitchell at Glenannan, who
predeceased' her in 1939, She was
the last' Member. . of her family,
three sisters and two brothers hav-
ing predeceased her.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church,
the Women's Missionary Society of

NUCLEAR PLANT
DISTRICT BOY CHIEF
RIDE AT PT DOUGLAS
A public information centre has
been opened at the Lake Huron
site of the Douglas Point Nuclear
Power Station, Canada's first ma-
jor nuclear-electric development.
Douglas Point is -being built by
Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. on
a 2,300-acre site midway between
Kincardine and Port Elgin. 'On-
tario Hydro is acting as construc-
tion agent and will operate the
power station when it is completed.
The information centre is located
near the project access road, about
six miles from Highway 21. The
reception -building will contain dis-
plays and a model of the power
station. From an elevated bailey
bridge lookout, visitors will be
able to view construction work
and a 'large billboard with a per-
spective drawing of the completed
plant. A large parking area pro-
vides ample space for cars.
The public is welcome seven days
a week, from morning until early
evening. Three guides will pro-
vide information and point out var-
ious aspects of the construction
project. Visitors will he -given a
10-minute briefing in the reception
building and view the displays and
