Mr. and Mrs. Howard Martin and family visited on Sunday with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ed Spiel- macher of Hanover. Mrs*. Thomas Metcalfe left from Malton Airport on Saturday with her sister, Mrs. Roy MacArthur of Streetsville, to visit with the lat- ter's daughter who resides near London, Eng, They went via New York City, and landed at Shannon, Ireland. They will spend 'two months in Great Britain and also go on a 17-day conducted tour. Miss Ann Rintoul and Miss Mary Purdon of Lucknow District High School have successfully passed into Grade 12, and Donna Rintoul passed to Grade 10. Miss Sandra Chamney and Janet Bebcroft have passed to Grade 12 and Sandra also passed the piano exams :in Grade VIII, while Janet Beecroft passed the piano exams with hon- ors for Grade IX. Crush about 1 quart fully ripe red raspberries, Cut in 1-inch pieces (do net peel) about 21/2 pounds rhubarb. Place fruits in jelly cloth or bag and squeeze out juice. The date for the West Wawanosh field day for the schools was set five times last month, and heavy rains either in the night or the mornings caused postponements.
