STRAWBERRY JAM
(Uncooked fruit)
Yield: about 7 medium glasses (314 lbs. jam)
2 cups prepared fruit 4 cups (13/4 lbs.) sugar
(about 1 quart 3ft cup water
fully ripe strawberries) 1 box Certo Crystals
First, prepare the fruit. Crush thoroughly about 1 quart
fully ripe strawberries. Measure 2 cups into a large
pan or bowl. •
Then make the jam. Measure sugar, add to fruit, stir,
and let stand. Mix water and Cede Crystals in a
small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and boil hard 1
minute, stirring constantly. Add to fruit mixture,
stirring well. Then stirr, to dissolve sugar, about 3
—Tninutes. (There will be a few remaining crystals.)
Ladle quickly into glasses or freezer containers. Cover
jam at once with tight lids orseals. Let stand 24 hours.
Then store in freezer or, If jam is to be used within
2 or 3 weeks, it may be stored in the refrigerator

white gladioli on the altar were the
decorations used on Saturday after-
noon in St. Paul's Anglican Church

Kenzie, of Toronto, in marriage.
. The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Chester Morrison, of R.
R. 5, Wingham, and the groom is
the son of Robert MacKenzie, of
Ailsa Craig, and the late Mrs. Mac-
Kenzie,
William Morrison, cousin of the
bride, was the organist and Mrs.
Gordon Corson, Teeswater, sang
"0, Promise Me" and "The Wedding
Prayer."
Mr, Morrison gave nis daughter
in marriage. She wore a floor-
length gown of silk organza over
satin.. The softly moulded bodice
had a portrait neckline framed by
lace rose petals and a softly draped
yoke. The billowing skirt of or-
ganza over layers of tulle and
satin had the same low petal motif
around the hipline. The sleeves
were short and she wore silk or-
ganza elbow-length mittens. The
bride's headpiece was a queen's
coronet of pearls intertwined with
crystal beads, with three crystal
drops in front. It held the imported
silk illusion re-embroidered finger-
tip veil and the only jewellery worn
was a cultured pearl pendant set
with a diamond, the gift of the
groom. She carried a cascade of
white roses, stephanotis and trail-
ing ivy.
The maid of honor was Miss
Joyce Morrison, the bride's sister,
and the bridesmaids were Miss
Lorna Morrison, Mount Forest,
cousin of the bride, and Miss Karen
Swanson, of Wingham. They were
attired in identical gownsof pure
silk organza over taffeta, in a vi-
brant aquamarine blue, The fitted
bodice was hightligl3ted with an
over-all embroidery trim in white
and featured a scooped neckline
front and back with tiny over the
shoulder sleeves, 'The bouffant
skirt was accentuated with a panel
set into the back matching the em-
broidery trim on the bodice.
The attendants all wore matching
mohair coronets, trimmed with
crisp white pearls and tiny face

veils. White shoes and wristlet
gloves completed the accessories
and they each carried a cascade of
white shasta mums and ivy,
James Drehmann, of Wingham,
was the best man and the, ushers
were Lynn Morrison, brother of the
bride, and Darragh Christie, cousin
of the groom, of Brantford.
The reception and dinner was
held at the Legion Home when bou-
quets of white mums and white
candles were used as decoration.
Guests were present from Berkley,
Mich., Brantford, London, Ailsa
Craig, Preston, Galt, Toronto,
Blyth, Brussels, Mount Forest,
Owen Sound and Teeswater.
The bride's mother received. She
was gowned in an imported frock
of pure silk organza in a soft
champagne shade. The sheath
styled dress was enhanced with self
re-embroidered motifs, scoop neck-
line and tiny cap sleeves. A softly
crushed belt circled the waist and
she wore spindrift green acces-
sories and a corsage of yellow
roses.
Also receiving the guests was the
groom's aunt, Mrs. Helen Christie,
o$ Brantford. Her sheath styled
dress was of yellow gold and white
printed silk with a matching stole,
Her accessories were white and she
wore a corsage of white carnations,
The bride's grandmother, Mrs.
Ada Morrison, of Wingham, was
attired' in a violet and white print-
ed silk dress with matching hat and
a corsage of white carnations.
For their wedding trip to Shenan-
doah Valley, West Virginia, Mrs.
MacKenzie wore a buttercup yellow
sierra linen two-piece suit, styled
with a pencil skirt and topped with
an easy-fitted waist-length jacket
with three-quarter length sleeves,
and fastened with three large
matching bone buttons. They will
live at 150 Tyndall Ave., Apt. 205,
