CAMPBELL DIES IN HOSPITAL William Alexander Campbell, who had been a Patient in Wingham General Hospital since suffering broken hip last November, died on Wednesday, June 7th, He was born at Crosshill, On- tario, 82 years ago, a Son of the late Peter and Catherine Campbell. He moved to this district in 1887 and, attended Powell's School and later Chatham Business College, Mr, Campbell was a Wingham merchant. On September '7, 1904, he married Miriam Gregory, of Wing- ham. They moved to Winnipog in 1915, where he was with the T, Eaton Company for 15 years, Mr. Campbell retired from business in 1935 and has lived in Toronto and Wingham since.that time. His wife predeceased him in 1953. He was a member of the United Church. Mr. Campbell was also a member of Lebanon Chapter and was a past master of Wingham Lodge 286 A.F. & AM., and recent- ly was presented with a 60-year jewel by that lodge. Three daughters survive, Mrs. G. W. (Edna) Buchanan, and Mrs. D. C, (Eurith) Nesmith, both of Wing- ham, and Mrs. J. G. (Katharine) Wilson, of Toronto. There are five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. W. D. Bentley, of Toronto. Rev. T. G. Husser conducted' the funeral service on June 9th from the R. A.
