The reception which followed the
ceremony was held at Chipican
Lodge, Sarnia, Where the bride's

The couple left for • a wedding
trip to Northern Ontario, They will
reside at 130 South Forsythe St.,

vention of the Association of
Kinsmen Clubs, District No. 1,
from Friday to Monday. Mrs.

bands and attended the business
sessions for Kinettes, with Mrs.
Walker and Mrs. Leeclharn as de-
legates from the local club.

Royal Canadian Legion, has com-
pleted the arrangements for the
semi-annual convention of District
'C', which is to be held in Mark-
dale on Sunday, May 28th,
District "C" of the Royal Can-
adian -Legion extends from Strat-
ford to Tobermory, with a total of
57 branches on its roster. •
C. E. Stoddart, the president of
the Markdale branch, says the at-
,tenclanee at the -convention is,. ex-
pected -te .exceed . 350 Legionnaires.
.:-The convention chairman will be

of ,Dtialiam,-formerly, of Dundalk.
An - outstanding feature of the
convention will be the presence of
the president of the Dominion
Command, Mervyn Woods, M.B.E.,
Q.C., LLM., a staff member of the
Faculty of Law, University of Sas-
katchewan, Saskatoon.
The meetings are to be held in
'the Markdade community centre.
Registration 'will begin at a.m.
on Sunday, to be followed at 10
a.m, by the marching on of the
District Colors.
At 12.30 (noon) there will be a
parade to the Cenotaph, with Ma-
jor J. A. Dunlop, Q.C., officiating
as the parade marshal. After the
placing of the memorial wreaths,
Rev. Ben Hall, of Walters Falls,
who is the padre of the Markdale
Branch, will dedicate the wreaths.
The limeheon speaker will he the
president of the Dominion Com-
mand, who will he introduced by
District COmmander. A. D. Koehler.

Theme of Meeting
The May meeting of the Evening
Auxiliary of the -United Church
was held in the ladies' parlor. Mrs.
W. B. Conron opened the worship
service on the, theme, "Voices from
Abroad". The hymn "Come Holy
Ghost" Was sung, followed by the
b'eripture lesson read by Miss Ina
net Murray,
Short articles from Africa, In-
dia and East Asia were read by
Mrs. Conron Miss Murray and
Mrs, Albert -Rintoul. Mrs. Con-
ron led in prayer.
Miss Brenda Conron favored
with a piano solo. The topic, "The
Church in the World" was very
capably presented by Mrs. Rot
Vogan Following the singing of
the hymn "From Ocean unto
Ocean", Mrs.' Charles Hodgins, the
president, took charge of a short
business session. A social half
