the setting for a lovely spring wed-
ding on Saturday' at three o'clock
when Janet Ftliza.beth Gaunt.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell

the bride of Donald Carl Dirstein
of eraptford, son of W. and Mrs.
John S., Dirstein, Hanover. Rev. B.
Seehach of Hanover performed the
ceremony, and the organist was
Miss Angela. Paterson of Burling-
ton. The soloist, Mr. Harold
Banks of Hanover sang "0 Perfect
Love" and "The Wedding Prayer"
and, the congregation joined in th(
singing of "0 Father Ali Creat..
ing".
The church was tastefully decor
ated with arrangernent of pink
snapdragons and white mums,

the bride wore a floor-length gowr
of sheer over faille. The fitted
basque was fashioned with tin
shirred sleeves. Guipure lace ac-
cented the sculptured neckline ant
Was scattered aver the sweeping
bouffant skirt. Her tiered veil of
French tulle illusion'was caught
to a circlet of orange blossoms
and she carried a -cascade of white
Shasta mums, pink roses and ivy
The maid of honor was Miss
alien Caesar of Terrace Bay, Ont.,
and the bridesmaids were Miss
Helen Currie df Wingham, cousin
of the bride and Miss Marie Dir-
stein of Hanover, sister of the
groom. All wore coxen blue silk
organza gowns with gathered bo-
dices and bouffant skirts, bordered
with deep lace. The fitted bodices
were highlighted with self-roses
and streamers. They wore mach-
ine. petal hats with tiny veils, white
gloves and shoes and carried cas-
cade bouquets of white shasta
'mums, pink roses and green ivy.
The groomsman was Reginald
Dirstein, brother of the groom,
Kitchener and ushers were Donald
Gaunt, 'brother of th ebride, R. R. 5,
Lucknow and Larry Lahn, Han-
over,

A wedding dinner was served in
the Whiteehurch memorial hall to
90 guests at 5 p.m. and a reception
and dance were held the same eve-
ning with Farrier's orchestra sup-
plying the music. At the lunch
hour Mr. and. Mrs. .Dirstein were
called to the platform where Ar-
thur Laidlaw expressed the good
wishes of the assembled friends
and Parish. Moffat presented the
bride and groom with a purse of
money.
The bride's mother wore a con-

ed the ceremony in a. setting of
white snapdragon, • mauve mums
and candelabra with lighted tapers.

Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was lovely in a cloud of
silk organza accented with Guipure
lace at the scalloped neckline and
for the motif on the skirt, The
sleeves of her gown were softly
shirred and completed by matching
glovelets, Her tulle illusion veil fell
from a crown of crested irridescent
pearls and, the floor-length hemline
carried out into a tarin train of
illusion, She carried a bouquet of
white gardenias and yellow roses.

ert Alexander, Goderich, and Mrs.
Eric Moore, at whose home neigh-
bors• gathered to extend their good
wishes. '

wore a dress of lilac silk organza
with set-in cummerbund, pearl
tiara headdress, white gloves . and
shoes. She carried a bouquet of
yellow shasta daisies.
The bridesmaid, Miss Verna 0'-
Hare, of Wingham, and the junior
bridesmaid, Miss Sue Doak, of God-
erieh, were attired in dresses sitn-
liar to that worn by the matron of
honor and carried similar bouquets.
Groomsman was Mr. Bill Reavie,
of Wingham, and the ushers were
Mr. Ken Coultes, of Wingham, and
Mr. Robert Alexander, of Goderich.
For the reception of guests from
London, Wingham, St. Thomas,
Clinton, Sarnia, Kitchener and
Weston the bride's mother • had
selected a sheath of blue linen with
matching jacket, white accessories
and corsage of pink roses. The
groom's mother wore mauve silk
chiffon over flowered taffeta with
mauve accessories and corsage of
cream roses.
For travelling the bride donned
a white suit with which she wore
beige and melon accessories and a
corsage of melon-coloured roses.
The young couple left for a wedding
trip to Ottawa and Montreal by
way of the St, Lawrence seaway.
They will reside in Wingham,
