ing last in the Memorial Hall. with

17. After the opening exercises, the
treasurer reported a balance of $88

Lassies 441 Club", presented a skit
which was very interesting. Each
club girl modelled the dress she
had made and told how much it
had cost to make her dress..
Mrs, Cliff Hallman gave a report
on the Officers' Conference of
Branch Presidents, which was hell
at the O.A.C. id Guelph the week
previous.
Mrs. Warren Zurbrigg gave a
reading, "If you are going to keep
up with the Joneses, first 'find out
where they arc going". Lunch was
served by the committee in charge,
Mrs' Harvey 'Wright, • Mrs, Allan

next meeting will be held on

A pfetty spring wedding was
solemnized at Sacred Heart Church,
Teeswater, on Saturday morning at
11 o'clock, when Beda Blanche
Miller, daugther of Mr. and Mrs,
Harry Miller, of Teeswater, became
the bride of Clayton John Willie,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Willie,
also of Teeswater, Rev. Fr. J. H.
Higgins performed the ceremony
and celebrated the nuptial mass.
Mrs, Kenneth Currie, Mrs. Robert Soloist was Nelson Myers, of Ham-
Aitcheson, Mrs. Carl McClenaghan ilton,
displayed the trousseau and gifts, The bride, escorted to the altar
by her father, was lovely. in a Miss Marie Dirstein, Miss Helen
Currie and Miss Ann Currie served
lunch and Miss Jacqueline Dir-
stein and Joan Currie were in
charge of the guest book.

The matron of honor, Mrs Elmer
Merkley, of Dorchester, sister of
the bride, and the bridesmaid, Mist
Dorothy Donaldson, of Teeswater,
were similarly attired in ballerina
length gowns of aqua silk organza
with 'corsages of yellow mums.
Little Miss Bonnie Miller, sister
of the bride, was sweet in a dainte
white nylon over net dress with
full ruffled skirt. Her flowers were
white baby mums,
The ringbearer was Master Gary
Willie, nephew of the groom,
Attendirg the groom were David
Willie, Teeswater, his brother; as
best man, while Harry Miller, Tor-
onto, brother of the bride, was
groomsman. Ushering the guests
were Allister Willie, Teeswater, and
George Miller, Toronto.
For their wedding trip to the
Southern United States, the bride
wore a two-piece dress of blue silk
organza with matching shoes and
white accessories. Her corsage was
of yellow mums. On their return,
the happy couple will' reside in
Teeswater.
Mrs. K. Russwurm. of Hanover,
and Mrs. Thomas Gaunt poured tea
in the afternoon, and Miss Leah
Currie, Wingham, poured at night,
while Mrs. James Richardson, Mrs.

his marriage this Saturday. •
Mr, and Mrs. A, E, Purdon, of
Lucknow, who for many years re-
sided in West Wawanosh and in
the village, celebrate their 60th
wedding anniversary next Monday,
May 22. The family dinner will be
held in the Presbyterian church
S. S. room on Monday, with . a re-
ception in the memorial hell hero
in the evening for all the relatives
and life-long friends of the couple.
