The ladies worked on a quilt.. The business meeting opened with, hymns. Mrs. Emma William. son read the Scripture taken from Luke, and the comments, Mrs, :Cooper read a poem, "Leave It with Him". The minutes were read .and roll call answered by 16 members. Mrs. Richards reported on the buying of bud vases for hospitals. The menu committee was named 'for the garden party which will .be held the middle of July,, and the meeting closed with the hymn, "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and prayer. Mrs. John Baylor introduced the guest speaker, Reginald Tompkins, Listowel florist, who presented each grandmother with a gardenia corsage. Then lie discussed the care of house plants and cut flow- ers and showed a film. He also conducted a floWer contest with potted plants for prizes, which were won by Mrs, William Wright, Mrs. Elmer Farrish and Mrs. Gor- don Edgar. Miss Corinne Rhame sang ."Just a Song at Twilight" and "Let the Reg of the World Go By". She was accompanied by Mrs. Harry Rhame.
