SPRAY THIS PRIM
FOR YELLOW ROCKET
If you plan to spray yellow
rocket this spring, you'll 11/1V0 to do
two things: find a time whin the
ground is firm enough to carry
equipment; and do it before the
legumes have put on three inches
of growth. So cautions Dr, C. M.
Switzer of the OAC Botany Dept.
You might have noticed the weed
last June, Many first-year hay
fields are brightly coloured with its
yellow flowers. But in June you can
only pull the weeds •-• spraying
might kill the legumes.
If you want to find evidence of
yellow rocket this spring, look for
a weed that grows flat on the
ground -- much as a dandelion
