This sum has prevailed for the past several years with 50 percent of it raised through the member municipalities an an equal amount gained by 'Province of -Ontario grants. The money is allocated to the reforest- ation, farm ponds, flood control, parks, recreation and wildlife de- velopments. The major program carried out by the authority during 1960 was a river channel and dam improve- ment project undertaken by the town of Listowel.• Including engin- eering fees and construction this represented an expenditure of $5,- 490.75. Cost• of the program, how- ever, was contributed entirely by Listowel and the Department of Planning and Development. They each paid $2,745.38. Other munici- palities are not assessed for schemes which directly 'benefit one centre.
