vice-chairman Nickel, the execu-
tive will be composed. of Mr, Cogh-
lin, Mr. Kelterborn, Mr. Rowland
and Mr. Stinson. C. W. Bamford,
of Listowel, was again appointed
secretary-treasurer.
The authority again adopted a.
$5,000 budget for 1961. This sum
has prevailed for the past several
years with 50 percent of it raised
through the member municipalities
an an equal amount gained by
'Province of -Ontario grants. The
money is allocated to the reforest-
ation, farm ponds, flood control,
parks, recreation and wildlife de-
velopments.
The major program carried out
by the authority during 1960 was a
river channel and dam improve-
ment project undertaken by the
town of Listowel.• Including engin-
eering fees and construction this
represented an expenditure of $5,-
490.75. Cost• of the program, how-
ever, was contributed entirely by
Listowel and the Department of
Planning and Development. They
each paid $2,745.38. Other munici-
palities are not assessed for
schemes which directly 'benefit one
centre.
Including the channel improve-
ment. the .authority's budget bal-
anced at $14,148.40 during the past

meeting on Monday night in the
Scout Hall. The club was pleased to
receive a letter from the Rehabili-
tation Foundation Gengratulating
the women 4'or their fine work in
organizing the March of Dimes
campaign in Wingham and district.
About 1.5 members of the club
will, attend the Zone H inter-club
meeting in Owen. Sound on Wed-
nesday, April 19th. The Kinettes
voted a $10.00 donation to the Eas-
ter Seal campaign.
Mrs. Freddie Templeman and
Mrs. Jack ,Bateson will be in
charge of a new project, that of
Making doll clothes to be sold r at
the annual fall tea in October.
Members were instructed to bring
any sewing or knitting patterns to
the next meeting so that work
could begin this month,
The main business of the meet-
ing was the election of officers
for 1961,-62, The nominating com-
