Two anthems, "The Holy City"
and "The Faster Hope," were sung
by a, double duet, Mrs. Ronald Mc-
Michael, Mrs. Eldred Lathers, Mrs,
Ruth MacDonald and Mrs, Charles
MeCutcheon.
Two pots of beautiful mums and
one of Easter lilies were placed on
the altar table in memory of tile
late Mr. and Mrs. George Allan
by their family.

McLean spent Sunday at the same

The men of the Wroxeter United
Church choir appeared on Sing-
time, CKNX-TV on Sunflay after-
noon.
Master Terry Clark, underwent a
tonsilectomy in Wingham ,Gederal
Hospital Tuesday morning.
A dedication service was held on
Good Friday in the United Church
when the YPU presented a 'brass
table cross, which was dedicated to
the memory of Larry Snell,

A quiet but pretty wedding took
place at Knox United Church
manse on Thursday, March 30th,
at five o'clock in the afternoon.
Rev. J. H, Anderson officiated at
the ceremony when Eleanor Eliza-
beth Joan Horton and Ronald
Floyd Campbell exchanged vows.
The bride is the daughters of
Mr, and Mrs. Edward Horton,
R.R, 1 Clifford and the bridegroom
is the son of .Mr: and Mrs. Floyd
Campbell, 1=01. 4, Brussels. '
The bride chose a white gabar-
dine suit with lilac' accessories. A
corsage of mauve chrysanthemums
completed her ensemble.
As her sister's bridesmaid, Miss
Janet Horton, R.R.. 1, Clifford,
chose a two-piece suit of mint
green gabardine with white acces-
sories and a corsage of • yellow
chrysanthemums.
Bruce Campbell, R.R. 4, Brus-
sels, brother of the bridegroom,
was best man.
The wedding dinner was served
at the home of the bride, to the
parents of the bride and bride-
groom and the attendants, Follow-
ing a trip to the United, States the
young couple will reside in London,

OF PASSION PLAY
WROXETER— Twenty members
and six visitors were present last
Tuesday evening when Mrs. Bruce
Chambers was hostess for the
March meeting of the Starlight
Group. The meeting opened with
the singing of the theme, followed
by a poem, "Easter," read by Mrs.
Glen McMichael. The hymn, "There
Is a Green Hill Far Away" was
sung and a Psalm was read re-
sponsively, followed by prayer of-
fered by Mrs. McMichael.
Mrs. Crawford Gibson read the
Bible story of Simon of Cyrene,
wh o carried Jesus' cross from the
Mrs. Verna, Doerr, Sheila and
Harold of Niagara Falls, visited..
Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Stuart
Chamney and family. Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Charnney .of Windsor
visited Saturday at the same home.
Mr. and Mrs, George 'Reeves of
Toronto spent the week-end with
her sister, Mrs, James Leddy and
Mr. Leddy and, other relatives,

Cheryl of Clinton spent Friday
with his parents. Miss Elaine Jef-

end the meeting, A very delicious

Mrs. Ira McLean prepared, and •
gave a very interesting and timely
OM on Easter, telling of the en-
acting of the Crucifixion in the
village of Oberammergau in the
Bavarian Alps, once every ten
years. Early in the 1600s the people
of the village had promised to do
this as, an aftermath of their pre-
servation from , a deadly plague
which struck the continent at that
time. Mrs, McLean also explained
that by our faith we celebrate the
resurrection of Jesus from the
tomb on Easter each year, and how
our earthly bodies are just the
carrying case for the Spirit,
