stitute met in the community hall
for the March meeting. Mrs. Wil-
liam Campbell gave the devotions.
Plans for the millinery course to
be held in April and the local
leaders' training school Were dis-
cussed. A donation of $10.00 was
voted to the Institute project.
Mrs. Royden Devitt gave the
report on the radio-TV evaluation.
Mrs, Glenn Martin gave the motto,
"The peace of the world depends
on good food". She said,Canadians
don't know the meaning of real
hunger. Food is essential to make
people happy and with our vast
surplus, we could help the starving
countries, whether the skin is
black or white, they are all human,
Mrs. William Campbell introduc-
ed the guest speaker, Calvin Smith,
owner of the Newry cheese factory.
l 'He had several samples of different
kinds of cheese and told the group
(that the best quality of milk goes
into cheese. The milk passes
through a great many tests and
must be perfectly clean before the
cheese is made.
He, was presented with a gift
by Mrs. ,john Craig. The ladies
enjoyed some of the cheese with
their lunch.
Kansas, is spending two weeks at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil
Cullen.
