the piano by Mrs. J. E. Clarke',
Mrs. Archie Miller presided for
the worship service, arranged by
she, Mrs, 'Galbraith and Mrs. J.
Sanderson. 'Following the call to
worship 'Mrs. Miller read a poem,
"True Life", and the Scripture les-
son was read by Mrs. Galbraith.
Mrs, Miller led in prayer and the
Lord's prayer was repeated In uni-
son. The hymns used were "Mes-
ter of the Waking World", "When
1 Survey. the Wondrous Cross" and
"What A Friend We Have in Je-
A skit, 'Ile, Associate 'Member's
Sevrelary Makes a Call", was pre-
sented by ''Mrs. Ira McLean, Mrs,
A, Miller, Mrs, S, Higgins and Mrs.
K. Edgar.
Mrs. J. Sanderson 'presented the
study book, "This Turning World"
giving 11 pleasant description Of the
land of Japan, its people and their
eustoms, as an introduction -to the
Story of the visit of the author,
Betty Thompson, to the city which
was devastated by the atomic
bomb, Hiroshima, and the story of
a little Japanese girl called Saduca,
who was a victim of the bombing
and who is trying to achieve her
goal of making 1060 paper cranes.
It is the belief that if the 'maker
can Accomplish this feat she will
receive her wish, and Saduca's
wish WEIS that no More 'children
might ever have to suffer as she
had done as the result of the atom
bomb.
The vice-president, Mrs. K. Ed-
gar, conducted the ;business, ex-
pressieg thanks to the hostess and
the committee in charge. Reports
from the stewardship and .citizen-
ship secretaries were heard, Mrs.
G. Howes, reporting for steward-
ship, announced that the alloca-
tion for 1961 has been raised to
$200.00, this being due to the fact
that the Presbyterial allocation
has been raised. She also-. 'an-
nounced the same missionary for
prayer for this year, Miss Inman
of Korea. •
Mrs. George Gibson, reporting on
citizenship, read an article, 'Lord's
Day Observance" and also a letter
•from Dr. Sidney Gilchrist of Af-
rica, taken from this month's is-
sue, of World Friends, telling of
tile plight of a little African boy,
and asking for the prayers and
financial support of people here
in helping to bring better living
conditions for these people.
An invitation was received from
the Mission Band for the w.m.s.
to attend 'the Easter Thankoffering
to be held on April 5th at 2.30 in
the church school-room,
The spring Presbyterial meeting
wits .annottliced to be held in the
Wingham United Church, Thurs-
day, April 6th, beginning at 0.30

April was discussed. The presi-
dent will contact the committee in
Charge, of the April Meeting. who
were all -absent, to see if this toidd
he arranged for April 14th.
A change of date for regular
rheetings was proposed for the
.second Tuesday of the month Mu
stead of the Second' Friday. The
Majority were in favor, but it was
'decided to leave this matter to
'be definitely •decided at the next
meeting.
