McIntosh United W.M.S. held their
March meeting at the home of
Mrs. Alan Darling. The leader,
Mrs. Eldon Renwick, opened with'
a call to worship followed by the
Scripture reading.
The program WAS followed from
the Missionary Monthly. Mrs. Ren-
wick conducted a study of the
Gospel of SL John with 'active
participation by the members. The
roll call, "A. Lenten Thought", was
answered by 13 members and two
visitors.
Mrs. Alan Darling presented a
read* which was followed by it
study on Christian Stewardship by
Mrs. 8. Renwick. President, Mrs.
Leslie Harkness gave the minutes
and led the business portion of the
meeting.
Mrs. 'Howard Paco reported on
her recent trip to Five Oaks. MPS.
.lack Ferguson read from the study
book' and Mrs: Renwick closed the
meeting with prayer.

ing a nervous breakdown and was

guson has resigned from her teach-
ing position at Lane's school.

Ids Sob as manager of the Laltelet
Feed Mill and the mill will be tem-
porarily closed.

met in the Institute hall on Thurs-
day evening with a good attend-
ance of members and three visit-
ors. The president, Mrs. Cliff Hall-
man, opened the meeting with the
Ode and the Mary 'Stewart C011ect.
Devotions were read by Mrs. Lyle
Murray.
The minutes and treasurer's re-
port were given by 'the secretary-
treasurer, Mrs. Harold Wallace, It
was announced that the district
annual will be held on Thursday,
May 18, at McIntosh United
Church, as guests of the Lakelet
W.I. branch. The McIntosh WA will
cater for the dinner, to he served
in the basement of the church.
A bazaar is being planned for
later in March and will be held in
connection with the weekly card
party. It was decided to sponsor
Mrs. Cliff Hallman to attend the
spring officers' conference, May 4
and 5 at the OAC at Guelph.
A very interesting motto, "Na-
ture never spoils her work by 'be-
ing in a hurry," was ably given by
Mrs. Arthur Landman.
The guest speaker for the even-
ing was Warren Zurbrigg, presi-
dent of Huron County Federation
of Agriculture, and he gave w very
informal talk on agriculture.
Mrs. Jack Ferguson gave a re-
port on, the Forum she had attend-
ed at Godcrich. The meeting clos-
ed with "The Queen" and Mrs. Arlo
Elcitmier and Mrs, Stuart Douglas
entertained with contests, Lunch
was Served by Mrs. Henry Hohn-
stein, Mrs, Arnold Gadke and Mrs.
Gordon McKee.
