The Ontario Hydro, in co-opera-
tion with local Commissions, has

eral years and Mr. Shera said that
this is the first installation of its
kind in Wingham, although an-
other home is slated to be heated
by electricity when completed.
Hydro has worked with many
firms to make electric heating pos-
sible. Special insulation and engin-
eering along this line have been
developed in co-operation with the
manufacturers of this material, to
required to cover the many features
of Wingham's first "all-electric
home".
O. Shera, manager of the local
PUC, pointed out that in homes of
this type the hydro is metered on
two separate meters. One covers
the standard circuit and the other
the heating service, which is billed
at a higher rate than that of ordin-
ary domestic consumption.
The Criuckshank home will be
using a flat-rate water heater to
provide adequate hot water for do-
