ruffled skirt; her headdress was
white and metallic, and her flowers
the same as the junior bridesmaid.
Ring-bearer was Master Clayton
Bell, brother of the bride.
The best man was Mr. Theodore
Weiss, Kitchener, cousin of the
groom, and the ushers were Master
Robert Bell, .Greenock, brother bf
the bride, Mr. George Wayland, of • Toronto, cousin of the groom, and

For a reception in Teeswater
arena, the bride's mother received
in a rainbow pastel green organza
dress with white accesories and a
corsage of white orchids. The
groom's mother wore a blue chiffon
over blue flowered silk sheath with
white accessories, and a corsage of
white orchids.
For travelling the bride chose a
two-piece ensemble of brocade ray-
on sheath and matching jacket with
three-quarter length sleeves and a
rounded collar, with white accessor-
ies and pink carnation corsage.
They will travel to the St. Law-
rence Seaway, Montreal and Ot-
tawa. They will reside at R.R. 1,
Teeswater.

St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church
at Riversdale, was the scene of a
pretty wedding on Saturday, July
2, at 10.30 am., when Audrey
Yvonne, daughter of Mil and Mrs.
Albert Bell, Greenock, became the
bride of Mr. Ronald Elmer Weiss,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Weiss,
Greenock. The church was beauti-
fully decorated, with orchids and
fern.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a formal gown of
silk net and chantilly lace styled
with high neckline and trimmed
with sequins, pearls and lilypoint
sleeves. The bouffant skirt had
panels of appliqued lace in front
and. ruffles of lace, pleated net at
the back. A tiara of sequins and
pearls held her scalloped veil and
she carried American Beauty roses
with white streamers.
Miss Joan Huber, Sudbury, cou-
sin of the groom, was maid of
honor, and the bridesmaids were
Miss Marilynn Bell, St. Thomas,
sister of the bride, and Mrs. Ronald
Rapp, of Walkerton. They wore
street length dresses of lime green
nylon chiffon over taffeta; the bo-
dice was safety pleated with float-
ing panels from neckline at back,
white flower headdresses, and bo-
quets of yellow and white shasta
daisies. The junior bridesmaid,
Miss Betty Bell, of Greenock, sister
of the bride, wore a dress identical

Michigan. Janet was successful in
her music exams, winning first
class honors in Grade II Theory,
and her Grade VI in piano,

The Leaders, who have been sta-
tioned at Ottawa for several years,
have now been moved to Clinton
RCAF School, Donna Leader and
Joan Currie are attending the
morning session of Bible School
held in the Wingham United Church
this week.
Mrs. Milton McBurney, of Lon-
don, spent the week-end with Mc-
Burney and Shiell relatives in this
district and in Wingham.
Mrs. Zimmerman, of Gorrie,
spent a few days last week at the

Wednesday evening of last week
after a three weeks' trip to Ed-
monton, Alta,, where they visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Beecroft
and other relatives. e
Before returning home Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis Beecroft and Mr. and
Mrs. J. D. Beecroft holidayed in
Banff and at Jasper, and with an
uncle, Joseph Cumberland, of Re-
gina.
Mrs. John McGee, who had , ac-
companied them to Broderick,
Sask„ to visit with her sister, Mrs.
Errol Duncan, will return home the
end of the 'month. She is also visit-
ing her brothers, James and Angus
Gordon, and an elder brother, John,
a. patient in Saskatoon Hospital.
When Mrs. McGee returns home
she will be accompanied by her
cousin, Mrs. Graham, of Detroit.

Receives Gift
WairfECHURCH Chas. Moore,
who is a guard at Eurwash prison,
near Sudbury, was home en Sunday
and on Monday moved Mrs, Moore
and the children to a home in
Estaire.
On Sunday afternoon Cecil Fal-
coner, Thos. Morrison and Jos,
Tiffin called at his home and.
Cecil spoke briefly, telling Charlie,
that the folks of this community
were reluctant to see him leave
here without ,4 remembrance from
his. many friends and associates in
the baseball work, who wished him
success in his new line of work.
They presented Mm with a purse
of $61.00. Charlie thanked them for
their thoughtful gift, and all those
who had joined in giving it.
Culross Native
Dies in London
William Davidson Simpson pass-
ed away in London on July 4th,
after a long illness, He was in his
76th year. 'The late Mr. Simpson
was born on the 6th concession of
Culross and resided there until hi:
marriage on July t7h, 1941.
He was employed by the Bell
Telephone Company and for awhile
lived in Kincardine and later
farmed on the' 4th concession of
Culross for 40 years, and then re-
tired to Lucknow, Mr, Simpson was
a member of Langside Presbyterian
Church,
Surviving are his wife, the form-
er Elizabeth Ferguson; three sons,
Arthur, of Toronto; Hugh, of
Whitechurch; Douglas, of Tees-
water; one daughter, Mrs. James
R, Henderson, of Lucknow. There
are seven 'grandchildren and one
sister, Mrs. Graham Moffatt, of
Culross, and one brother, Hardie,
of Teeswater. A daughter, Murdean,
predeceased him In 1943:

the 21st Regiment 'for a week's

home last Monday after a trip to
renew old acquaintances at Kings-
ton, last week-end.
