Coultes, were among the Huron
County young men who attended
the livestock judging contest, held
in the community centre at Sea-
forth on Saturday.
The trophy, donated by the
Blatehforcl Feed Company, to the
one receiving the highest aggregate
score in this' competition, Was
awarded to Janice Coultes, son of
Mr. and Mrs,. Norhian poultes,
They judged three dairy classes,
three beef classes, three • swine
classes, and one sheep class.
Jim is a one-year student at
0.A.C, and. Crawford McNeil, who
was runner-up, is a student at
Ridgetown. Crawford will spout
the summer months at Ridgetown.

AT PRESBYTERIAL
The May meeting of the Mait-
land Presbyterial of the Women's
Missionary Society of the Presby-
terian chureh 'in Canada was held
in Chalmer's Church, Whitechureh,
on Wednesday of last week.
The president, Mrs. F.arish Mof-
fat, introduced Mrs. E. H. Johnson
of Toronto, who spoke at the af-
ternoon session on "Christian Stew-
ardship of Time", saying that we
are ruled by the clock so the home
is strategic in teaching steward-
ship of time. Men and women
make the home, but the home
makes men and women. At the
evening session she told of her ex-
periences •as a missionary's Wife
in Manchuria,
The theme of the meeting Was
"Consecration" and those present
witnessed a living example when
P2 year, old Mrs. Walker of Bruse
sels was Presented with an honor-
ary membership certificate and
said, "Pray God, will bless the la-
bors of the W.MS. in bringing
souls out of darkness into the light
of Jesus Christ."
At the afternoon session detio-
Lions were taken 'by Mrs. W. Mun-
dell and Mrs. B. Thomas of Blue-
vale. At 'the evening session de-
votions were by Mrs. G. Dolg, Mrs.
N. McMurchy and Mrs, W. McClure
of, Molcsworth.
The regional secretary, Miss
Margaret Boyd of 'Hamilton, stress-
ed the need to get all church mem-
bers interested in missions.
Greetings from Presbytery were
brought by Rev. W. J, S. McClure,
who said, "Are we using, on a day
to day basis, the power God has
implanted in each of us to produce
goodness on behalf of others? Are
we expressing our Christianity ev-
ery day?"
Musical numbers were provided
by a duet from Lucknow, Mrs, R.
Forster and Mrs. W. Forster; and
a quartet from Ripley, Mrs. Mary
McDonald, Mrs. Joan McKay, Mrs.
Joy McLean, Mrs, Helen McCreath.
Four C.G I.T. girls received their
certificates in 'an impressive grad-
uation service 'conducted 'by Mrs.
Ballagh of Teeswater, They were
Helen Campbell, South Kinloss;
Sharon Hemingway, Brussels; 'Bet-
ty Jean MacDonald and Gwen
MacPherson of Teeswater.
A 'beautiful service in memory
of departed members was eon-
cided by Mrs. L. Fortune of
Wingham.
The 1961 meeting is to be held in
St. Andrewts Church, Wingham.

Mrs. Coultes closed the meeting
with the benediction, Mrs. Alex.
Robertson's group were in charge
of the lunch, and decided to follow
the example of the women of Bri-
tain and served fruitbread and
cheese with a cup of tea, which all
enjoyed.
