Walkerton. There were close to 80 people present from the district, the largest attendance to date. Walter Gaeler, of Chesley, was chairman and the new secretary, Michael Blender, of Chesley, gave the usual reports, Dates and lo- cations were set for a number of events that will take 'place before the fall meeting. The annual church parade will be held this year in Priceville on June 5th. The arrangements are for an open-air service if weather permits, otherwise the service will be held under toyer, A sprine..camparee has been plan- ned for May 21, 22 .and 23 at Camp Martyn and one troop and one leader from each centre -will at- tend. There will he competitions and a cup has been offered for the troop with the highest ;points. From June 30 to July 6, a Silver Arrowhead course 'will be held in Owen Sound, The summer camp for district Scouts will be from July 4 to July 14 at Camp Martyn and the Cubs will hold camps- for the remaining week-,ends of the summer. • It has been decided not to hold regional Queen. In the past accommodation has been limited since the Queens Scouts came from 1 such a large. territory. . Executive members were ap- pointed to purchase new district badges and it is hoped that they will be available by fall. The field day will be in Ripley some time in September, the date to ,be an- nounced later, and the fall meet- ing of the association will be on Onbebr 26 in Walkerton,, Reports were heard from each of the 12 centres and in general the trend has been toward increas- ed attendance. Most of the activi- ties. were of a •usual nature but. Priceville reported a gala night when the parents were invited for broomball, The Scouts played the fathers and the Cubs took on the mothers. The event proved very successful. Attending the meeting from Wingham were Mrs. Dave, Croth- ers, Mrs. Ross Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. H, A. Fuller, Penny Gerrie, Barb Pieltforcl, .
