Plan Paper Drive
Gerrie - Wroxeter group commit-
tee met on Wednesday in the Gor-
do United Church basement. Rev.
E. C. Attwell opened the meeting
with prayer. Minutes of the pre-
vious meetings were then present-
ed and approved.
Plans were made for a banquet
in the near future for the Was
and Scouts and their parents. The
group charter will be presented "'to
the group at this banquet.
A paper drive in Gorrie and
Wroxeter is being planned for the
second week in May. The report of
the Scout group activities was giv-
en by Scouter E, Attwell and the
Cub pack activities by assistant
Cub Master E. Clarke. Rev, J. E.
Clarke closed the meeting with
prayer.

Belgrave Cubs
The Belgravc Cubs held their
regular meeting on Tuesday even-
ing with a good attendance !of
Cubs, the leader and four assistants
present. The meeting opened with
the Grand Howl, flag salute and
prayer. Inspection was conducted
by the leader, Mrs. Kenneth Wheel-
cc and her assistants.
A game, "Hare and Hounds" Was
Tad by 'Mrs: Gordon McBurtiy.
Mrs. Bud Orr read the story, 'Bob
Brown's Good Deed". Mrs. Clare
VanCamp led in a relay.
During instruction period Mrs,
Wheeler tested Cubs on first stat
work. Mrs. Harold Vincent taught
safety rules, Mrs. Bud Orr taught
semaphore signalling, Mrs, Clare
VariCamp reviewed flags and pa-
tron saints and Mrs. McBurneY
prepared the New Chums for in-
vestment into the Pack at the next
meeting.
The later part of the meeting was
held outside, when Mrs. Harold
Vincent led in a game dealing with
compass directions. After a sing
song the meeting closed with Taps.

meeting.were "Standard For Good

ing", All the Ole helped to snake
beef stew with dumplings,
The fifth and sikth meetings

Roll • calls were- "One way I could

"Otte good reason,' for using liver".
Discussions at these Meetings were
on pork elks, liver and its place
in the menu,. ceoking stan-
dard for meat leaf 'arid grotilid
meat in many forms. Demonstra-
tions at these meetings were;
braised liver. with Vegeta.bles, pan
fried liver with onions and meat
loaf. These dishes were all sampled
at the end of the `meeting.

titled "A Picture of Faith", telling
of the hardships of the Korean re-
fugees, one family of three, whose
only home was an 'organ box.
Mrs. Harry Mulvey read the
chapter in the study book, "Attica
Disturbed". The roll call was a
verse on Easter. Mrs. Ira, Neil
gave a feeding on. temperance,
"Youth and Vital Choices". Mrs.
Norman Newaris gave a reading
on Easter.
The president, Mrs. H. Mulvey,
took over the business part of the
meeting. Severehl quilts have- been
completed and a bale is to he sent
overseas. A.•hyinn Wes sung, after
which Mrs. Pace closed the meet-
