It's spring and for many people the thoughts turn not just to
love but to love of new clothes, light, airy summery clothes.
They're showing up in the shop windows every day, fueling
dreams of warm summer breezes.
Just what will people in Western Ontario be wearing this
spring? Elaine Townshend talked to some of the region's leading
clothing retailers to see what's in line for the fashionable.
You say you don't like the fashions available this year? Well
maybe you can create your own with the help of a skilled clothing
expert. Diana Scott of Goderich has been kept busy in the past
couple of years since moving to Godench. Trained as a
seamstress working in theatrical costume departments, she's
now operating a clothing business from her own home, providing
custom clothing.
Speaking of business in your home, Randy Gopal and Janet
Dearing started making granola in their home a few years back
and soon the bakery threatened to take over their home. Today
they run Sun and Moon Natural Foods Bakery, a business that
has rapidly become a leader in its field in Ontario.
Centre Stage Theatre in London recently came back to life with
Zastrozzi and our reviewer took a look at this latest reincarnation
of the tiny theatre. Our restaurant review comes from an
inexpensive restaurant in Wingham, The Turnberry Tavern.
Think you couldn't get interested in classical music? Well
neither did the writer known as G.P but he developed an interest
and passes on the story of how his interest grew and the easy
way for a non-listner to catch the bug.
