performed on the Festival Stage for the
first time since the beginning of the
Festival in 1953. It is a comedy which
examines the ‘vorkings of love and pride in
human nature. Opening June 7 it runs 9,

28, July 1. 3. 6. 9 (2 p.m.).
RICHARD III- The play which opened the
Festival's first year in 1953 Shakespeare
gives frankness. psychological insight and
wit into the character of Richard 111. The
play opens June 8 and runs June 11. (2
p.m.). 16, 19. 22 (2 p.m.) 25. 29 (2 p.m.) 30
July 2, 5. 8. 10.
