SEAFORTH Phone 527-1205 11. UP FRONT Way back when Village Squire first began, we ran a monthly feature on scenic drives that could be taken throughout the area. The series was very popular with readers, but the problem was that we soon ran out of familiar drives. Well we're starting the feature again and beginning with some of the trips we discussed earlier. Hopefully, we'll also get some ideas for scenic drives from you our readers. Send in your suggegtions and if we use them, we'll give you a free subscription to the magazine, either for yourself or a friend. Just tell us where to go, we'll do the rest. This month we have several interesting features. We visited Listowel -area artist Bill Acres and learned how he and other artists are trying to work together to improve their lot. Down in the Mitchell area, we visited former pro hockey player Tom Miller and his wife Carol and learned how they opted for the quiet life on a farm near Russeldale. And in between, in Monkton, we visited one of the largest antique businesses in the area and learned from Ralph and Diane Seip about some of the changes the antique business has seen in the past few years. The theatre column this month sees James Roy, artistic director of the Blyth Summer Festival telling how a winter in England gave him a chance to compare theatre in the two countries.
