Travelling by bus in style
There's nothing remarkable about a bus
company adding two new buses to a
120 -mile line, but Charterways Execubus
service between London and Toronto is no
ordinary service.
Last September the company put two
$100,000 luxurious buses in service
between the two cities.
The buses, built by Motor Coach
Industries of Winnipeg, have only three
seats across instead of the usual four, for a
total of 29.
They are fitted with aircraft -type seats
with fold -down tables and more elbow
room than most airplanes.
There is a special passenger work area
and, as in aircraft, the buses have a
modern gallery from which hostesses serve
refreshments.
Charterways General Manager Ian
Turner says his company is obviously
wooing the travelling businessman hut he
expects a number of women shoppers and
other passengers to use the service.
Each bus makes one return trip daily,
Monday to Friday, leaving Toronto and
London at 7 a.m. and returning at 5 p.m.
The 120 -mile non-stop trip takes two
hours and 10 minutes. Return fare is $26.
The London terminal is at the Holiday
Inn while, in Toronto, it is at the Sheraton
Centre.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKI RESORTS IN
CANADA
Cross-country skiing is Canada -wide but
where, exactly, are the resorts that cater
exclusively to the kick and gliders for a
ski -week holiday.
Such a Nordic resort should have an
extensive and interesting trail layout, a
central lodge with a convivial atmosphere
for fireside chats, good food and a well
equipped ski shop with a resident
instructor.

Cariboo country is a 26,000 -acre scene with
