This month
February: the coldest, bleakest, least enjoyable time to live in
Western Ontario. Still there are things to do and people to meet
and we hope our February issue will put a little warmth into your
life.
A new professional pottery opened this month in Blyth.
Michael Ward, a native of England opened his new
establishment. He has an interesting background as revealed in a
story this month.
Agnes Moon is one of many people who have found a lot of
pleasure in painting. She's found too that it can be a hobby that
can make returns on the investment of time, money and skill.
Elaine Townshend tells her story.
Squire Gifts in Goderich is a gift shop that's been around since
before the current trend in small shops began. Started as a tourist
establishment it quickly found that local people were its best
customers. The Squires tell why in a story in this issue.
In keeping with the pink and white theme of Valentine's day,
Ron Rudd's cooking column deals with dishes of pink and white.
As usual, he has some unique suggestions.
And our restaurant reviewer this month visited a quiet,
unassuming family restaurant, The Kum -In in Clinton and
reports on the results.
All this and much more to brighten your mid -winter blues.
