Village Squire, 1975-12, Page 9read books," he.recalls. One of the things he
looked forward to on opening- a boo! store was
the selection of books he'd have to read. Now,
he finds he can't find any time for his
favourite past -time. There are many books in
the store he'd like to take home for his own
library, he says, but he can't afford to.
All new ventures' have anxious moments
and bookstores are even more risky than
other forms of retailing, yet Bernie says he
can see the day when larger quarters are
going to be required. That may not be too far
off if the stock of books increases much more
rapidly than it has so far. Meanwhile used
hook freaks in the Stratford area just hope
things keep going well for the shop, the only
used book store they have for miles.
