The fall of e% ery year seems to find a batch of new stores open
in the area and this year was no exception. This month the Village
Squire visited two of the new shops: The Book Shelf in Stratford
and The Wedge in Clinton, both the dream of young people come
true. ,
The largest collection of art work in this area can be seen at the
London Public Art Gallery and Museum on Queen's Ave. in
London. Many people, however, have yet to enjoy this service
which is free. You may not appreciate all the art on display (you
may not even agree that some of it is art) but there is something
for everyone's taste.
Our freelance writers have responded to the Christmas season
with a number of stories included in this month's issue.
And Village Squire went out for dinner this month at
Stratford's now -famous Church Restaurant. All in all we hope the
December issue will be a nice•Christntas present for you.
Our apologies to those who may have been late receiving their
November issue of Village Squire due to the recent six-week
postal strike. During such times there are many better ways to
earn a living than in being a publisher.
It causes problems getting materials in, getting the publication
to the subscriber and of course collecting the bills from
advertisers.
It also has hurt the normal flow of subscribers wishing to give
Christmas gift subscriptions to. their friends and neighbours.
There is still time, however. We will rush a card telling of your
purchase of a subscription to whoever you may wish to give a
subscription to. But best act early.
